In its new state-of-the-art warehousing facility located at K-Tower – Dekwaneh, Unipharm had already prepared itself for the new era of pharmaceutical logistics: GDP/GSDP regulations; It’s Quality time!
The sole aim is to provide the patient with his prescribed medicine with the best quality of storage and transportation; with its 1,500 m2 of operating facility, including around 1,000 m2 of best storage facility, the variety of medicinal products is totally maintained whether it needed a below 25 degree Celsius temperature controlled storage, 2 to 8 degree Celsius Cold Rooms, -20 degree Celsius, -70 degree Celsius Freezers or -270 degree Celsius storage using Liquid Nitrogen; all controlled areas are permanently Qualified and Validated by external certified company, one of the first in the region. Permanent temperature and humidity logging is insured throughout the year.
Transportation to end customer, or wholesalers, or medicinal supervisors is also conducted through a fleet of qualified vehicles, fully temperature controlled, and validated to transport pharmaceutical products in any needed pharmaceutical conditions. Cold Chain delivery is maintained using latest technologies like injected polyurethane foam for Ice Boxes insulation, and Phase Change Material for temperature preservation during last mile delivery.
On top of the above, a Warehouse Management system was implemented late 2016 to insure the best operating flow inside the warehouse, and give the best quality of preparation, consequently minimal delivery errors to the market, as well as to provide the management with the highest stock accuracy ratios and visibility means.
Three years ago, the EU GDP regulations were implemented at Unipharm operation to cope with worldwide standards; lately, Lebanese Ministry of Health GSDP audit was conducted and Unipharm was consequently officially certified as GSDP compliant.
Today Unipharm decided again to go further with its quality practices, by obtaining European Union Guidelines on GSDP of Medical Products through SGS
